Sharon was born and raised in Beaufort, SC, where art and Gullah lifestyle are fluent and rich with culture. She is a self taught artist who fell in love with poetry first but soon discovered while in the military that she enjoyed painting and drawing. After a stint in the military she returned to civilian life and pursued art.
She joined the Leominster, MA, Art Center and Gallery and participated in local art events. She owns Shataro Art Studio in Leominster. Sharon’s medium is acrylic, and she is an acrylic fluid abstract artist using the pouring technique. She is an alcohol ink artist, which includes being a paper/polymer clay artist. Also, she is a well known jewelry designer and wire wrapping artist. In the past several years her art style has concreted itself into an abstract impressionist style.
